A home should be calm before it is impressive. Every piece we make begins with the grain of the wood and ends with the life lived around it.
Woodlife Studios is a design-and-make practice working in solid wood. From our own workshop we deliver architecture-led interiors, furniture and millwork for private homes across India — each piece drawn once, made by hand, and built to be lived with for decades.

Few pieces, resolved completely. A room by Woodlife holds four things done well, not fourteen done quickly.

Four materials, chosen slowly, touched daily.

Teak & hardwoods
Old-growth teak, rosewood and oak, seasoned slowly and cut along the grain. Finished with oil, never lacquered flat.

Stone
Kota, Jaisalmer and honed granite — cool underfoot, quiet against timber, left with their natural mottling.

Cane & weave
Hand-woven cane and natural textile, used where a surface should breathe — doors, screens and seating.

Light
The fourth material. Every elevation is drawn against the sun it will actually receive, morning and evening.

we work.
We listen first, draw once, and build only what has been fully resolved. Four steps begin every project; the full journey runs to eight.

Discovery
We visit the site, walk the light, and listen. No drawings yet — only questions.

Concept
Plans, elevations and full-scale details, drawn once and resolved before anything is cut.

3D Visualization
Quiet, accurate visualisations in the room’s real light — what you approve is what we build.

Materials
Timber, stone, cane and finish selected by hand, together — samples on site, in the actual light.
